Artists portrait of Jackson Pollock

Jackson Pollock

  • Born: 28. January 1912 in Wyoming
  • Died: 11. August 1956
From the 1940s the painter Jackson Pollock, born on January 28th, 1912 in Wyoming, used a technique generally described by terms like "action-painting" or "drip-painting". Here action means that the picture becomes a documentation of a dynamic act, where the action itself is at the centre of interest. In 1946-47 Pollock began creating his large format "overall- paintings" in which he brought the colour on canvas through spontaneous dripping. With the help of cans, that were full of holes out of which the colour ran out, he created maze-like tangled colour-web structures. These paintings turned him into the most important "action-painter" and exponent of Abstract Expressionism. In the last paintings before his death in August 1956 it East Hampton (New York) in a car accident, Jackson Pollock concentrated on black and white structures, that reflected his return to the figurative.
The pictures are predominantly assigned to the art direction others.
The art works of the artist are dominated by the colors gray, pastel and white.

Art Prints

We deliver exclusively art prints from well-known art publishers in brilliant quality, such as the art print »Drawing drip technique« from Jackson Pollock. Classic art prints are normally produced by offset or screen printing. In this case, often also spot colours and embossments are used.

Our canvas prints are handmade in our own workshop. Either the canvas print or the art print laminated on a canvas is stretched onto a quality keyless frame. Perfectly wedged and provided with a suspension, the canvas image can be hung directly. Optionally, we also offer each canvas picture framed, i.e. with floater frame. »Shimmering Substance, 1946« of Jackson Pollock as a canvas image also beautifies your home.

Framed pictures

We frame almost every picture. You can choose from many different frames. Passepartouts are just as much a part of your choice as are various options for surface protection. So »Number 14: Gray« of Jackson Pollock becomes a highlight for your living room or bedroom.
